Music Therapy

Music contains properties that are evocative and naturally rewarding. Music Therapy is the use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship and a music therapist is trained to use and manipulate music the achieve these goals. Music Therapy is different from music instruction in that goals are geared towards physical, psychological, social and/or academic skills.

Music Therapists service a wide array of clientele and most specialize with one population and adopt a scope of practice specific to their specialized population.
